Why invest?
The UK Government has brought in the Feed-In-Tariff [FIT] to entice investment in the sector and tackle climate change to meet our renewable energy obligations.
From 1 April 2010 to 31 March 2013 renewable energy generators investing in green technology, will be eligible for this scheme. The FIT payment for wind runs for 20 years and is linked and compounded to RPI (Retail Price Index) throughout, ensuring attractive investment returns.
Making use of the FIT opportunity, Access Energy offers attractive terms and collaboration between landowners and investors.
Mid Wind
With ongoing technological advances, wind turbines are becoming more efficient allowing greater operating capacity. These advances have increased turbine warranties making wind an ideal choice for reliable income from renewable energy. We believe that a single-turbine with a Total Installed Capacity between 225KW and 1.5mW offers the optimum opportunity within the [FIT] scheme.
Micro Wind
We are rolling out projects throughout the UK using micro wind turbines between 50kW and 100kW. The hub heights of these turbines varies from anything between 18m to 36m, so do not attract much attention from the planning departments – the application process for this size of turbine is much less contentious and can be fast-tracked through the system. This type of turbine is also much quieter than the larger turbines making it ideal for installation in industrial sites and holiday parks.
